risks

where to start? SOOO much to say :o) okay, so BC was beautiful, honestly, i'd like to live there, the mountains make me feel so small yet so gifted at grace of the sight of them... snowboarding was awesome. i had some good family time, which i needed. i didn't realize how much i go out and hang with my friends when my little sisters are at home, and Madeline pointed it out to me, and yeah, i had to pause, to really think about it and discover how true it is. the TEAM (Tina, Jessie, Madeline and i), with TEAM having a few acronyms (sp?) Terrian Experts And Madeline, Tina Emily And Madeline, Tabletop Experts Always M...i forget how that one ended, but you get the point. so the TEAM always had a TEAM adventure every morning, which consisted of a 4 chair-lift ride to the summit (the top) everyday, and a new, challenging, mostly black diamond way down :o) needless to say... it was fun?! whew... and we had a TEAM map and we used a black sharpie to mark all of the trails that we went down, so that was cool.. yep yep. and it finally SNOWED on like the 3rd last day that we were there, but it snowed alot, so there was lots of fresh powder, making the whole trip worthwhile :o) the park was sick, but i was a huge chicken after i fell off of the rainbow-box rail, smashing my whole left side onto the ice and giving myself whiplash, so not cool. but it was still amazing. i took some pretty awesome pictures, or at least i hope so, cuz it was simply gorgeous driving down through the winding mountain roads and having the sunset on the first day. yep yep, so all in all it was a successful trip and we got home safely....after a HUGE wait at the airport, making the arrival time something like 1am or so, but then getting our luggage took forever, and we still had to drive an hour to get home, and i finally got home at 2:30am or something, but i was still on BC time....so it was only 12:30am and i had mail, and this sweet note with some chocolate kisses waiting for me on my bed, it was awesome. so in that mail.....drumroll please.... i got a letter from Western, and I AM ACCEPTED! WOO! i couldn't BELIEVE it, i was super happy, it was an excellent way to start the new semester. this semester i am taking Outdoor Ed, which i will refer to as ODE cuz it's way easier, and it is like CAMP, only at school, and not with Christians, BUT IT STILL ROCKS, and i am having an awesome time doing it, oh man. so yeah, life is pretty excellent right now, and yeah, wow. anyways, to finish of this mad-long post, this is something from ODE, and it really made me think.... enjoy

risk .:.

To laugh is to risk appearing the fool
To weep is to risk appearing sentimental
To reach out for another is to risk involvement
To expose feeling is to risk exposing your true self
To place your ideas, your dreams before the crowd is to risk their loss
To love is to risk not being loved in return
To live is to risk dying
To hope is to risk dispair
To try is to risk failure

But risks must be taken because the greatest hazard in life is to risk nothing.
The person who risks nothing, does nothing, has nothing and is nothing.
He may avoid suffering and sorrow but he simply cannot learn, feel, change, grow, love...live.
Chained by his certitudes, he is a slave, he has forfeited freedom.
Only a person who risks is free.

too true, too true

BC sounds like it was full of fun, you truly are my snowboarding idol, thanks.
Risks definately are one of the tougher things for us superstars eh em? It warms my heart to see that someone in this world is not ashamed of their feelings.

wow to be able to post thoughts and feelings for all to see something I will never be able to do.everyone else has something epic and uplifting to say.I myself am rather lacking in that area so here it goes. friends are in flux family a finallity, the one will take of you when the others won't. also you are with christians but you never bring it up. I would actually like to hear your opinions on that subject. oh and inreguards to your very last post if you want my prayers you have them.
